Fall Lip Colors

Dear all glam dolls,

I recently invested in colourpop cosmetics when purchasing all these colors to try out. I mean $7 how could you not. Super affordable for those balling on a budget. I ordered eyeshadow, lippie stix, and lip liner when they first launched this brand. I was not very impressed since the lippie stix cracked and just looked like a hot mess on my lips. However, I recently ordered online to give their liquid lipstick a chance and my new thing is liquid lipstick. Love that it stays on forever and you do not have to reapply, worrying about it smearing, or worse getting on your teeth.

I ordered these colors based on online reviews since you can only order on their website. So I’m watching these reviews and chose Trap, Magic Wand, Dopey, Lumiere 2, Rooch, Frick N Frack, and Are N Be (Are N Be not swatched because I thought I lost it). Seriously right after I bought it I thought I lost it but recently turned up. All the pictures at the zoo (Instagram pictures) I have Are N Be on my lips it is a deep purple. As I am trying them out I noticed these liquid lipsticks definitely dry darker than the color on the outside of the bottle. Plus, it is super hard to find lipstick colors for me since I am extremely fair I am pretty much Tay the friendly ghost. Top picture is Rooch, second row is Trap, third row Dopey, and fourth row Lumiere 2.

I bought 7 different colors but half is ultra matte liquid lip and the other is satin liquid lip. Ultra matte liquid lip is Are N Be,Rooch, Lumiere 2, Trap while satin liquid lipstick is Frick N Frack, Dopey, and Magic wand.

The ultra matte liquid lipsticks are VERY drying formula although this liquid lipstick will last you all day. Makeup Hack: I put Mac’s lip primer on before the liquid lipstick and it will replenish your lips and does not feel that drying versus alone. Plus, the primer hides your lip lines! I wore Are N Be all day throughout the zoo the Louisiana heat is no joke and had a snowcone. This lipstick did not move at all I was highly impressed. I noticed some transfer with the snow cone but honestly nothing major. There is also not tacky feeling with the liquid lipsticks.

While the satin lipsticks are basically the ultra matte lipstick + cremesheen lipstick = satin. This liquid lipstick has a lot of transfer when eating or drinking and needs reapplication after. It does not remove all of the lipstick but a good amount. This liquid lipstick is long wearing and can last all day. The satin finish has a slight shine to it and feels creamer and more hydrating on the lip.

Overall, the packaging is simple and love the silver accents with the doe foot applicator tip. The formula is super lightweight and easily wearable. They have a wide selection of colors for any skin type.

Makeup Favorites Currently: Mac’s Studio Fix, Mac’s mineral skin finish powder, Kat Von D eyeliner, IT Cosmetics Mascara

XOXO Tay

Love these colors on you – I rarely even wear makeup in general, so I would be nervous about a bold lip color, but it looks fantastic on you!

I love fall because I love dark lips!! I’ve started using lipsense – it’s a lip stain and then you pair it will a gloss and it lasts a long time! Their dark lippies are my fav.

I love Colourpop’s lip selections but agree- their Ultra Matte Lip can be pretty drying, love your tip on applying a lip primer first. Great shade picks!

I have a hard time with liquid lipsticks because of how dry they are. I love all the colors though!
